Project Goal

Jacob Construction & Design, Inc. performed mechanical equipment upgrades to Building 7043 and 7044 at MCMWTC Bridgeport, CA. Description Building 7043 and 7044 were two separate projects with similar scope. For each building, Jacob Construction & Design, Inc. demoed out the existing furnaces and installed new high efficiency condensing furnaces. New connections were made to the gas supply with provision of necessary pressure regulators, valves, gas cocks and piping. As MCMWTC Bridgeport sits at an altitude of 6,800 feet, it was important that installation and operating capacity be geared for weather extremes. For these buildings, JCD was also required to install multiple 75-pound ceiling fans that ranged 8 feet in diameter with blades spanning 4 feet lengths. These fans were configured to be thermostatically controlled via wall mounted controls/sensors. Prior to install of fans, as per code/requirements, existing sprinkler heads and fluorescent lighting were relocated to ensure required clearance of the fan blade’s sweep path.
