Project Goal

Jacob Construction & Design, Inc. was required to remodel 10,000 square feet of the ground floor of the Historic Herrmann Hall at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California.

Description

The scope of this project required Jacob Construction & Design. Given Herrmann Hall’s eligibility for being listed on the National Register of Historic Places, JCD had to work closely with multiple governing agencies, including the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) to ensure installation of new structures matched the décor and ornamentation of the building’s original layout. This project involved redistributing office partitions in secured rooms, renovating fixtures/walls/ceilings/windows, rerouting HVAC and Electrical, and remodeling the restroom facilities. All work was performed without disrupting occupied areas and normal hotel business.
