Jacob Pickering has been at the helm of JCD since its inception in 2007. With two decades invested in the construction industry, he has acquired the management skills and first-hand working knowledge to bring projects of all scales to life. As the head of day-to-day operations, he strives to leverage his construction experience and knowledge to help JCD derive sustainable solutions to client needs and challenges. Jacob primarily focuses on business development and aligning the company’s strategic focus on new and emerging market opportunities, but he has also supervised the construction of JCD’s most complex projects. His care and devotion for maintaining and strengthening current client relationships is unmatched, and no matter how busy his day may be, he prides himself in having an approachable, on-the-ground outlook on all tasks.


Senior Project Manager

Erick Marretti manages the Northern California region out of JCD’s field office in Monterey, California. His primary responsibilities include acquiring new work and managing JCD’s high profile projects, including the multi-million-dollar Design-Build and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts. As the senior project manager and estimator with over 25 years of construction experience, Erick has maintained an impeccable track record for successfully delivering projects from concept to completion. His role is to monitor project performance, ensuring scheduling, safety, and quality goals are continuously scrutinized and achieved in all JCD projects.



Executive Assistant

Monica Vega is integral to all JCD operations and has extensive experience in project management and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts. From our main office in San Luis Obispo, Monica provides leadership to our administrative team, who offer day-to-day support to field managers, subcontractors, and clients. With over a decade of hands-on experience, Monica keeps JCD up-to-date with all contracting requirements in local, state, and federal law. Her skills and working knowledge of management, combined with experience in various phases of construction, communication, and changing legal requirements, allow JCD to stay competitive in the contracting market.


Project Manager/Quality Control Manager

Karl Koskin manages JCD’s JOC division in the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, California. He has well over 25 years of construction experience, 20 of which have been in the capacity of direct supervision, quality control, and safety management of on-site crews and subcontractors. From concept to completion, Karl is actively involved in all aspects of a project and able to consistently deliver results on time and within budget. He has maintained an impressive track record for managing multiple, concurrent projects while fostering a culture of safety and quality.
