Jacob H. Pickering
Jacob Pickering has been at the helm of Jacob Construction & Design, Inc. since its inception in 2007. With two decades invested in the construction industry, he has acquired the management skills and first-hand working knowledge to bring projects of all scales to life. As the head of day-to-day operations, he strives to leverage his construction experience and knowledge to help JCD derive sustainable solutions to client needs and challenges. Although Jacob has supervised the construction of some of JCD’s most complex projects, his primary focus is business development and aligning the company’s strategic focus on new and emerging market opportunities. But equally important is the care and devotion he places on maintaining and strengthening current client relationships. No matter how busy his day may be, he prides in having an open-door policy and is not afraid to get his hands dirty.
Erick V. Marretti
Senior Project Manager
Erick Marretti manages JCD’s Northern California region. In this capacity, he is responsible for both the acquisition of new work, as well as the management of JCD’s high profile projects. As the senior project manager and estimator with well over 25 years of construction experience, Erick has maintained an impeccable track record for successfully delivering projects from concept to completion. He currently overseas Jacob Construction & Design’s field office out of Monterey, California, from which he manages our multi-million-dollar Design-Build and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts. His role is to monitor project performance, ensuring scheduling, safety, and quality goals are continuously scrutinized and achieved in all JCD projects.
Monica Vega is integral to all Jacob Construction & Design’s operations given her experience in project management and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts. From our main office, she provides leadership to our admin team for day-to-day support of our field managers, subcontractors, and clients. She is also the checks and balances for all JCD’s procurement efforts. With well over a decade of hands-on experience, Ms. Vega keeps Jacob Construction & Design, Inc. current with all contracting requirements in the local, state, and federal arena. Her skills and working knowledge of management, the various phases of construction, communication, and the changing legal structures allow JCD to stay competitive in the contracting market.
Karl O. Koskin
Project Manager/Quality Control Manager
Karl Koskin manages JCD’s JOC division in Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, California. He has well over 25 years of construction experience, 20 of which has been in the capacity of direct supervision, quality control and safety management of on-site crews and subcontractors. From conception to completion, Mr. Koskin is actively involved in aspects of the project and able to constantly deliver on time and on budget. He has maintained an impressive track record for managing multiple concurrently run projects while fostering a culture for safety and quality.
