Project Goal

JCD performed selective demolition of existing HVAC condenser coil unit along with its associated piping, ducting, and electrical before installing a new comprehensive system.

Much of the challenge for this project centered on dismantling the old unit along with the associated duct work and electrical. Once they were properly disposed of, JCD moved in to install a new condenser coil, duct work, and replace the suction and liquid line filter dryers. As the condensing unit was in the mechanical space on the second floor of the Medical Clinic, there were no elevators present. Therefore, all equipment and supplies had to be carefully maneuvered through doors, tight corners, and up a long stair well. Once installed, the new system was recharged, started, and tested before being turned over to the Coast Guard.
